We take responsibility – for clean water and a better future
In 2022, the German organization Mapiti e.V. marked an important milestone in the Maasai community of Mgora: the construction of a well to provide the village with clean water – for drinking, cooking, washing, and for the animals. A project that has transformed the lives of many families in a lasting way.
Before the well was built, women and girls had to walk several hours each day to fetch water. Today, girls can go to school because this daily burden has been lifted. More education instead of water buckets. More time for the future.
We, Emmanuel and Melanie, were personally involved in the implementation of the project as members of Mapiti e.V. Emmanuel was also part of the well committee in Tanzania and supported the project on site.
With the dissolution of Mapiti e.V., it is our heartfelt mission to continue this important project. TENEBO has taken on the responsibility for the well – ensuring a long-term supply of clean water and continued improvements in the living conditions in Mgora.
We stand alongside the local well committee as a reliable partner and support maintenance and repair work – both organizationally and financially. For this purpose, Mapiti e.V. entrusted us with the existing maintenance fund, which will continue to be used exclusively for the well project.
We sincerely thank Mapiti e.V. for their outstanding commitment – and continue their work with dedication and responsibility. For clean water. For education. For the people of Mgora.
